About Suncoast Harvest
Suncoast Harvest is a family owned farming business, based on the beautiful Sunshine Coast in Australia. We have a strong focus on sustainable farming, using natural methods wherever available to produce high quality, sweet-eating strawberries for markets across Australia and in select International markets.
We love our soil and nurture the earth with organic composts, rock minerals, seaweeds, worm juice and microbes. We use green manure crops in between crop cycles and replenish our soil minerals with natural inputs that enhance the biodiversity of our soil. We use local suppliers wherever possible and are currently exploring recycled packaging options for the future.
During cropping we focus on building healthy plants through optimal nutrition to deter pests and diseases. We also use IPM protocols, introducing millions of beneficial insects and microbes into the crop to control major pests and diseases. Weekly monitoring of crop health is done by agronomists who advise best management practices that nurture and protect the plants and the beneficial insects, bees and natural predators that support optimal plant health.
